Emergency Childcare for Key Workers
As per the Government guidance schools and childcare settings close on Friday 20th March with the exception of providing childcare for key worker staff and vulnerable children.

So, here at Alphabet House our team are committed to helping as much as we can by opening our doors to 'key workers' requiring childcare for children from 0-12 years.

If there is enough demand, we will also provide care over the weekend to keep the workforce going.
If you'd like to find out more just fill in the short form down below.
Who Are Key Workers?:
As per the Government guidance, we will continue to provide childcare for children of parents or carer categorised as "key-workers". The government are due to issue further guidance on which professionals fall into this category.

Our current understanding is that this will include:
  • Those working in the NHS
  • Those working in social care
  • Those working in education and not home working
  • Other critical workers (emergency services, delivery drivers)

About Us
At the Alphabet House Nursery, we aim to provide an environment that children are excited to be in, which allows them to move freely, building on skills and learning new ones in all areas of learning and development. With over 25 years’ experience providing care and education for children, we have grown since inception from the founding setting based in Stratford to now having multiple thriving nursery schools across London. Our teaching philosophy is based on the Early Years Foundation Framework with core Montessori principles giving each child the tool to achieve their full potential.
Here's What Parent's Have To Say
We LOVE our parents and carers and we're so proud to share some of their thoughts with you...
Here are some comments from our parents' and carers' survey:
"All the staff are very friendly and helpful"

"We would (and have) very much recommend the nursery as we've been very impressed by the staff, care, and enjoyment our daughter gets from going."
"They keep you updated with your child's progress, encourage children to learn and get involved with different activities"

"Everything is wonderful, the staff are excellent and our little girl loves it!"
"The staff are wonderful and always happy. You can tell all the children are happy at the nursery and there's lots for children to do. The outside facilities are brilliant and the nursery is nice and clean"
"I love the friendly nature of the nursery and the fact that the nursery are heavily involved in local community activities, and have great links with the local infant school"

"When I looked round I was impressed by the space and how it was organised and the sorts of activities out for the children. I was also really impressed with the garden, I think that's a lovely space for the children! Doing a school day is really helpful for me as I have an older child so paying for hours outside of school hours would be a waste. The staff all seem to have really nice relationships with the children."

"Both my children enjoy their time there and staff are responsive and approachable"
"Lovely little nursery that has the children at its heart"

"The nursery is a very friendly environment, and a has a very homely and personal feel. The staff are fantastic, whilst there has been a small turnover of staff recently, this has not negatively impacted the care the nursery provides. And somehow you manage to find equally great staff to replace those who have moved on. We are confident with the care and support the nursery offer our little one, which is why we will be keeping our small person here right up until she starts school"
"Approachable staff, fun activities, small, caring environment. Eleanor loves it!"

"Caring and loving staff"

"My child loves nursery! She's always happy and content and I like checking what's she's been up to on Parent Zone"

"Really friendly, homely and safe. My daughter is really happy"

"The staff are lovely and are totally engaged with the children and parents. The nursery has a 'homely' feel to it. Thanks to the staff, Freya is engaged in all kinds of activities. She is confident and happy. She loves the staff and the nursery. The wonderful environment has made me (us!) very happy in my transition back to work"

We are rated Good by Ofsted. Here are some of the comments from our latest report.
You can read the full report here.

"Children enjoy a varied range of activities, which reflect their interests and choices. Consequently, children are continually absorbed in purposeful play and are motivated and active learners. "
"Staff motivate children by enthusiastically joining in with their play. They carefully listen to what children say and do, ensuring children feel valued and boosting their self-esteem and confidence. As a result, children are obtaining the skills, attitudes and dispositions they need to be ready for school or the next stage of learning. "

"Outside, children enjoy exploring water using various containers, making marks on the chalkboard and planting and growing. Daily access to the improved range of opportunities in the outdoor area ensures children are able to practise jumping and balancing, throwing and catching and negotiating their way around the available space, to support their physical development. "
"The delightful Sky room provides children with opportunities to develop an understanding of the world. At times, children and staff simply lie on their backs and watch the clouds float by through the transparent roof."

"Children are settled and secure. The nursery provides a warm and caring environment where staff get to know children and their parents well as individuals. Children develop trusting relationships with their key person. Settling-in visits are offered on an individual basis so children become familiar with their new environment at their own pace."some of their thoughts with you...
